Managing the development

It is our understanding that the described activities comprise the core of the management role. True, this is not an easy job, especially in transformation situations. These are the real challenges for managers on all levels: the so far familiar way to work is no longer good enough – it has to be developed with the ultimate goal to change for the better.

Thus managing transformations professionally becomes a core competence of Line Managers on every hierarchical level. In practice the management role is to set the right achievable goals and give the necessary support to project teams who do the hands-on work keeping them the task to constantly supervise and control progress and goal achievement.
